Work!

Hello! For this assignment I'm going to write about my job. Right now it's BABYSITTING!!!
So, here's a scene from a regular babysitting night:
Mother of kids I'm babysitting drove me to her house. I go inside
ME:Hi you guys!
They are busy with playing the Wii or eating. They say very distractedly...
Kid's: Hi.
Mom looks at kid's and smiles
Mom: Aren't you going to say hi to Richelle?
Older kids: Hi, Richelle.
Younger one's will look up at me with excitement and come up and give me a hug. followed by the youngest saying...
 Youngest: I like her.
Mom: I'll be right back. I just want to finish getting ready.
Me: okay.
She leaves. Then the kids will show me a new toy they got and I will "oooooh" and "Ahhhhhhh" it....
ME : That is so cool when did you get this?
Child I'm talking to: For my Birthday.
ME: WoW! how does it work? Can it fly? Can you hold onto it and it will shoot you to Disney land?
Child: no! it can go like this! bbrbbrbraaaooom! Vrooooom!
He is running around with it and making cool noises. :)
Me: Oh, my gosh! How are you doing that?!
Mom comes back.
Mom: OK, Richelle they need to go to bed at 8:00. You can either give them sandwiches or make macaroni Or whatever. We'll be back around 10:00 ish so make your self at home. They can have a snack's just not the cookies, I need those for relief society tomorrow. Bye, thank you so much!
Me: Have a good time! Bye!!
Kids: Bye Mom!! Bye Dad!
After parents are gone, kids and I usually watch movies and play games and cars or barbies then We eat diner. play some more and then I put them in bed. I make up a story and sing them a song, they say their prayers. Then I leave and go back to living room, clean house. then Watch a movie or do homework till parents come back.

Silly ditty about school

School is fun, school is great if I hurry I won't be late.
I was late, oh, what to do! Would you look at that I dropped my shoe.
Leave it there and start to run, I'm sure that I still have time, some.
My car pool comes and picks me up "You were late" they say, "Ha! Good luck."
I jump out the door as we pull up, Run to class, Hop hop hop!
"If only I had more time." I say as a sit down at my desk with my hair in disarray. 1st is women's choir and I totally love that class, next is science and I wish I could say I care less. Third, is creative writing and we are each writing a book, if I finish it by the end of the year, it will be published (much to the delight of myself  and that of my sister Brook).
I Go to P.E, and I start to relax. "This isn't so bad, hand me that bat."
Computer Technology smell's like poo and I had a huge presentation due, that I'd forgotten to do.
Tomorrow is going to be so fun! I have choir, English, history, and seminary, my last class of the day would be math (Oh, what a pun!), secretly I call it a bumb.
Sometimes school can be really stressful but others completely blissful.
School is fun, school is great if I hurry I won't be late.

Richelle's Eulogy-told by my future daughter: for an assignment, Telling of Goal's

"My mother was an exceptional woman. With every person she met she would alway's try to make their lives easier in some way, and learn more about them. She made them feal absoulutly comfortable in with her and would in a matter of minutes become very good friends. I remember when I was little, she told me the story of how she came to pick my name and my siblings. She was in math class in the ninth grade and was supposed to be taking a test, but got out the book of mormon instead and started to read. She felt that she wanted her childen to have names that would alway's remind them of the person they could become or a person the can look up to consanlty. So she started jotting down names and then wrote them in her journal. she kept them for when she would find my dad and have us. She still has that entry of the names she choose and I'll read the part were it says the names:
  • Joseph Moroni
  • Jacob Nephi
  • Hyrum Samuel
  • Rebecca Emma
  • Noel Ruth
  • Christa Rachel
  • Mariah Esther
I talked with my Mom's sister Mariah and asked her to come up and share a few memorys she has of my mom. Aunt mariah do you mind coming up here?"  (Mariah start's speaking)

"Richelle brought love into the home and she had a great relashonship with all her sibling's. She always spoke with patience and love even if we were driving her insane...She was always on time for school. and would never turn in assignment's a second late. She was a faithful journal writer, and never missed a day. she would tell us 'read your scriptures and write in your Journal and pray and you will be the most happiest person on earth!'  She would often invite the four of us sibligs for a 'pee' party were we would play games together and laugh untill we literally almost had an accident." she chuckels, " Oh, how I miss her" weeping silently she sits back down in her seat.

"Thank you aunt Mariah. We all know of Mom's book's the first one she wrote was in the her second semester of ninth grade. She started it in her creative writing class and published it by the end of the year, and it was a number one seller! know we have a whole library filled with her creative and inspirational novels. Mom showed me by example in the way's she talked with people and handled stress I'm so greatful for her and all she did for me. She was a wonderful mother and I look forward to the day I can see her again.

assignment: Letter, telling about friend's

Dear Grandma Berry,
I know your having an AWESOME time in alaska with Grandpa, But I just want you to know I miss you like crazy! I hope you don't run into any polar bear's! I want to tell you about my fun friends from school. I think you’ve only met two of them (Elle and Alexa)
Alexa: I’ve known for nine years! She always gets A+'s and is at the moment telling me about this guy that is SO gross. :) She takes pleasure in constantly reminding me How I never get on my email and If I’m moving then I have to get in the practice now or I’ll never do it after I move and it  will result in me forgetting all my friends. She’s silly. If you don’t remember Alexa, She’s the one with dark curly hair and big brown eye’s. She sometimes wares glasses, but only when she really needs them. If I could guess her colors if she were to take the color code test they would be red, white, and a little bit of yellow.
Melanie: Is right next to me, looking stylish with jewelry and hair ribbon’s she made, from her awesome skill.  She has brown hair and never ceases to make it look absolutely flawless she has pretty ice blue eyes and red lips. If she were to not where her foundation her skin would be so fair it would appear translucent. Color code test would be Yellow and blue and white.
Elle: and I are two peas in a pod!  I’ve known her as long as I‘ve known Alexa, nine years, I love her to death!!!  She’s a dirty blond and is always is either laughing with me or we’re having a serious discussion. If Elle took the color code test she would be blue and white.
Kathrine is occupied with working light's, she's a techy. I don’t get to see her as much as I did last year but she’s always a joy to be around! She would be a yellow through and through with a little bit of white
Jessie: is also a joy to be around! I swear to you she will be a professional artist. She ‘s very talented even more so because of her dyslexia. She’s so fun!  Jessie had greenish-brownish-blue eyes and has full lips (jealous!)  I think Jessie is mostly white with yellow.
Mckayla Morgan: broke up with her weird boyfriend, I’m greatful she doesn’t have a current boyfriend right now. She is totally boy crazy and might get into some trouble in the future!
Well now you know tons about a few of my best friends. I would right about Annilese and Kenyon, maddie, and destine. But I’m so tired I might die! I miss you! Hope your having a BLAST!!!

Archimedes Essay!!!

 B5 Algebra
I chose to write about Archimedes because of two reasons. The first one is because his name was used in the sword and the stone… remember the smart sarcastic little owl?? The second reason is because Archimedes is considered one of the three greatest mathematicians of all time.  For this essay I’m going to focus on Archimedes’s life and all the great/ funny things he did.  Archimedes was known as “The wise one,” and “The master” and “The great geometer” his work and inventions are still talked about today. He was a fabulous mathematician.
Archimedes was born in 287 B.C., at Syracuse, a Greek seaport colony in Sicily; his dad was Phidias, an astronomer. It makes sense that his dad was an astronomer, the smarts are passed along, huh?!?! Archimedes spent most of his life at his birthplace, not counting when he attended Euclid's school in Alexandria. Obviously, he proved to be a master at mathematics and he spent most of his time thinking  about new problems to solve, sometimes he was so involved in his work that he forgot to eat. Archimedes didn’t have paper or blackboards  so he used any available surface, from the dust/durt on the ground to ashes from an extinguished fire, in order to draw his geometric figures. He never stopped thinking about math!!! Sometimes, after having a bath and anointing himself with olive oil, he would trace figures in the oil on his skin. Talk about devotion!!! Once, he was pondering a solution to a problem the king gave him while he was in the bathtub and he figured it out! He was so excited that he ran naked through the streets of Syracuse shouting "Eureka! eureka!" (I have found it!).  Archimedes has done tons of amazing things.  In order to tell you a few I have a huge quote from a website called http://www.mathcs.org/analysis/reals/history/archimed.html
I couldn’t have said it as good as they did…
“Though he had many great inventions, Archimedes considered his purely theoretical work to be his true calling. His accomplishments are numerous. His approximation of between 3-1/2 and 3-10/71 was the most accurate of his time and he devised a new way to approximate square roots. Unhappy with the unwieldy Greek number system, he devised his own that could accommodate larger numbers more easily. He invented the entire field of hydrostatics with the discovery of the Archimedes' Principle. However, his greatest invention was integral calculus. To determine the area of sections bounded by geometric figures such as parabolas and ellipses, Archimedes broke the sections into an infinite number of rectangles and added the areas together. This is known as integration. He also anticipated the invention of differential calculus as he devised ways to approximate the slope of the tangent lines to his figures. In addition, he also made many other discoveries in geometry, mechanics and other fields.”
It’s amazing what he did with his life !!! to close I’ll share the last few years of his life. The end of hi life was quite busy. King Heiro was impressed with   Archimedes’s work so he persuaded him to develop weapons to protect the city. These inventions were VERY useful! Some of his inventions were: Huge catapults that hurled 500 pound boulders at the enemy soldiers; large cranes with claws on the end lowered down on the enemy ships, lifted them in the air, and then threw them against the rocks; and a system of mirrors focused the suns rays to light enemy ships on fire. All of which they used to get the Romans out of Greece, they foughteach other for eight months before Greece fell. Archimedes was killed by a Roman soldier when the city was taken. The traditional story is that the mathematician didn’t  know what was going on in the city. While he was drawing figures in the dust, a Roman soldier stepped on them and demanded him to come with him. Archimedes responded, "Don't disturb my circles!" The soldier was so angry that he pulled out his sword and slew Archimedes. When Archimedes was buried, they put a sphere inscribed inside a cylinder and the 2:3 ratio of the volumes between them, on his tombstone, the figure of the solution to the problem he considered his greatest achievement. He was an amazing guy! We wouldn’t have the knowledge we have today without him.
